The industrial production method of acrylonitrile is mainly the propylene ammonia oxidation method, which has two types: fluidized bed and fixed bed reactors. It can also be directly synthesized from acetylene and hydrocyanic acid.

Usage is an important organic chemical raw material, which is an important raw material for manufacturing synthetic fibers (acrylic fibers), synthetic rubber (nitrile rubber), and synthetic resins (ABS resin, AS resin, etc.). It is also used for electrolysis to produce adiponitrile and hydrolysis to produce acrylamide, and is also a raw material for producing chemical products such as dyes.

Packaged in clean and dry dedicated iron drums, with a net weight of 150kg per drum. The packaging container should be strictly sealed. Packaging containers should have “flammable”, “toxic”, and “dangerous” markings. It should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse, with a temperature below 30 ℃, free from direct sunlight, and isolated from heat sources and sparks. This product can be transported by car or train. Follow the transportation regulations for “dangerous goods”.

Usage precautions editing

(1) Operators must wear protective equipment. Within the operating area, the maximum concentration in the air is 45mg/m3. If it splashes onto clothes, immediately remove the clothes. If splashed onto the skin, rinse with plenty of water. If splashed into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. (2) It is not allowed to store and transport together with strong acidic substances such as sulfuric acid and nitric acid, alkaline substances such as caustic soda, ammonia, amines, and oxidants.
