Styrene plastics (PS, ABS, SAN, SBS)

Styrene plastics can be divided into polystyrene (PS), ABS, SAN and SBS.  Styrene type plastics are suitable for manufacturing products that use ambient temperatures below 80 degrees Celsius

PS (polystyrene) is a non-toxic colorless transparent granular plastic, flammable, soft foaming when burning, and accompanied by black smoke.  Its quality is both brittle and hard, high compressive resistance, good insulation.  PS is divided into universal polystyrene GPPS, combustible polystyrene EPS, high impact polystyrene HIPS.  GPPS are generally transparent and fragile.  HIPS are made with a combination of PS and polybutadiene, which gives them more than seven times the compressive resistance and strength of GPPS.  EPS is made of PS master particles expanded by gas or steam. It is a kind of foam containing 2% material and 98% air. It is light and adiabatic.
